Why do you call social entrepreneurs Artists?
Social entrepreneurs are Artists. Instead of clay, paint, charcoal, metal or cloth, social enrepreneurs use compassion as their medium. Creating art is an act of passion that rises up from the very bottom of our being. Creating change is no different.

Why should I become an Artist?
You should become an Artist because you know that you have great ideas to share with the world. You should become an Artist because you know that you would rather work on YOUR ideas than work in some a) retail, b) menial, c) boring, d) unfulfilling job. You should become an Artist because you CAN change the world, and you WILL if you just try.

What does it take to be an Artist?
Passion. Mostly it takes passion and a will to risk your life for something you believe in. It takes courage not to listen to everyone who doesn't believe you and to persevere in the face of fear.

Anybody can be an Artist, you just have to make the conscious decision to become one.

How do I submit a project?
Once you have signed up for membership and have logged in you proceed to the create new project page and fill out and submit the form.

Once a project has been created you may edit it at any time as well as upload files that help describe the project.

After I submit a project, who has access to it?
Who has access to a recently submitted project is up to you. Projects may be toggled between Live and Draft mode. A Live project is one that can be seen by other people, whereas a Draft project is one that can only be seen by you.

In addition, projects may be designated Public or Private. A Public project is viewable by Artists and guests whereas a Private project is only viewable by registered Patrons.

Is there a limit to how many projects I can submit?
No, there is no limit to how many projects you can submit. Make as many as you like!

Can I send Altruistic Tank a project my email, fax or U.S. mail?
Please do not send us any projects through any other means then the ones provided by the website.

Does it cost anything to submit a project?
No, this is a free service.

Can other Artists and guests see my project information?
Other Artists and guests can only see your project information if you allow them to. Projects may be designated Public or Private. A Public project is viewable by artists and guests whereas a Private project is only viewable by registered Patrons.

What is a Preferred Project?
A Preferred Project is a project that has been chosen by our staff for being of superior quality.

How does my project become a Preferred Project?
Our staff examines every new project that comes in. If we particularly like your project we will contact you via email and talk to you about it. If we like what we see and hear we will elevate your project to Preferred status.
